Bio
Richard Upton serves as Chairman of the board of {orange:Anuncia Medical}, bringing more than 30 years of healthcare finance experience across public and private company directorships, venture capital investing, investment banking and corporate leadership. Since 2008 he has led the healthcare investing activities of Harbor Light Capital Partners, a private investment firm that invests in early and growth stage companies. Previously he spent 15 years as a healthcare investment banker at Salomon Brothers and Bear Stearns, and later as an independent investment banker. He has served on the boards of many healthcare companies, including Anuncia Medical, Neela Therapeutics, Alcyone Therapeutics, Medicinal Genomics, Home Diagnostics and Longevity Health Holdings. He currently serves on the board of the Endowment for Health as Chairman of its investment committee. He holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a dual bachelor's degree in Economics and English from Amherst College.
